Blackjack Rules

There are usually 1-8 decks in an online Blackjack game. Online blackjack is not that different with Casino Blackjack since the rules of the games are pretty much the same. Note that the aim of the Blackjack game is to get a score closest to 21.

A natural Blackjack is achieved when the cards dealt on the second card distribution totals 21. Each card has their own value like face cards being ten, Aces either one or 11 at the discretion of the player and all other cards with their numerical value. The score is calculated by adding the numerical equivalent of the cards.

Like in any other game, Blackjack requires that bets should be made before the game starts. Bets are usually in chips. Buy the chips you need and make the bet by putting the chips on the bet circle. Players at the left side of the dealer are usually dealt first with the first cards faced up. A second card is then dealt to all the players. The dealer deals cards for as long as the player is discontented with his total.

In Blackjack, remember that unlike players, dealers are subjected to the rules of the tables. They can’t simply decide to deal their cards even if they wish to. For instance, if their total is sixteen or below that, they must still get another card but if they have 17 or above, they must already stand or simply quit taking more cards.

Blackjack rules also prohibit dealers to split (splitting pair cards so that the player have two game cards with two different bets, thus more chances of winning) and to double down (increasing the bets in the middle of the game when the player is confident about his cards). If the dealer’s cards exceed a total of 21 (termed burst), all the other players who do not, win the Blackjack game.

Online Blackjack tables vary from one gaming site to another, so you have to familiarize yourself first before betting or playing Blackjack. There are usually split (if you want to split your cards), double (if you want to increase your bet mid-hand), hit and deal buttons. These buttons become highlighted when your cards allow you to do the function. Do not attempt to cheat as these blackjack software are quite advanced at detecting unusual game action.

Before playing online Blackjack, make sure your internet connection is stable. Stability is important for you not to lose unnecessary bets.
